Welcome to Auntventureland!
auntventure
(ant-‘ven-chər) Noun an exciting or remarkable experience, undertaken by children and their Aunt(s).
Welcome to Auntventureland, the home for aunts who love nothing more than to sweep their niblings * off on adventures near and far!
I’m Liz, aunt to two remarkable nieces: Mighty OJ (5) and Baby L (9 months). My wife, H (also an amazing aunt!), and I live on the north side of Chicago (literally steps from Lake Michigan), where we love exploring museums, living an awesome car-free life, and plotting our next Auntventures.
As a kid, I went to Disneyland every time we visited my grandparents in L.A., but it wasn’t until I was in my thirties that I fell in love with Walt Disney World. Since our first visit in 2012, we’ve been a half-dozen times. Auntventureland combines my passion for Disney with my excitement for sharing Auntventures with Mighty OJ, Baby L, and the assorted non-biological niblings in my life.
Whether you’re an aunt looking for ideas to create memories with your niblings, a Disney fan planning your first (or 17th!) trip to Walt Disney World, or an armchair traveler who loves Disney trip reports, you’re welcome here at Auntventureland!
*nibling: noun. The children of one’s sibling. I use it because it’s cute as heck, gender-neutral, and faster and more inclusive than “niece or nephew.”
